Derek has a broad knowledge of the outdoors, being especially familiar in Southern and South-Central Oklahoma. His calm demeanor and ability to talk with anyone, help him to connect with landowners, and other agents within a transaction. He has a great ability to connect with all. This ability combined with his extensive professional environmental career experience, further provides that the clients best interest is being looked after.
Derek takes great pride to ensure each property is appropriately displayed across several websites, and at a professional quality to capture as many eyes as possible. Clean professional photos, easy to read graphics, and descriptive details provide potential buyers a better understanding of the property to help bring a premium.
When a purchase contract is agreed to, a great Transaction Coordinator will be provided. They will see the entire process through, making the closing process as easy as possible. Our Transaction Coordinator will give you peace of mind, that everything is being handled with title work, abstracting, and the lending side to help get the transaction to closing day. You will be provided updates throughout the process.
Derek will remain an integral part of the transaction all the way to closing day. Should there be further negotiations, inspections, surveys, and other issues throughout the process, Derek will be available and working to make the process as smoothly as possible for you.
Derek grew up in Southern Oklahoma, and now lives in Slaughterville, OK on 32 acres with his wife Sami and their 3 kids; Mila(12), Presleigh(11), and 4 year old son Dalton. They stay busy visiting family in their hometowns of Ardmore and Claremore. While growing up, Derek learned the value of hard work and honesty from his father and grandfathers. He spent a lot of free time with his grandfather, at the family farm, located along the Red River in Marietta, OK. Derek graduated college from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health Science. Post college, He has worked within the environmental oil and gas industry. He has always had a passion for sports and outdoor activities. The love for the outdoors, and growing up on the family farm, eventually led to his decision in obtaining an environmental degree. That would lead to a career working in an outdoor environment, where he feels most comfortable. While working in various environmental field roles, Derek has been fortunate to meet several landowners throughout the state of Oklahoma. Being able to help them get abandoned well sites on their properties cleaned up, or maintain environmental stewardness with Oil & Gas activities, at their properties, has been very rewarding. He has been able to gain valuable experience in helping restore land to be more productive, for each of the landowner's different needs. This work experience further strengthened his love for the outdoors and love of helping land owners across this great state. Listening to stories and learning the history of many different properties around the state, is something that never gets old. One of his favorite quotes from his late grandfather was "It takes all kinds of people, to make the world go 'round." Derek is excited to hear your story and do everything he can to show everyone how valuable your property is!

I recommend checking with different lenders for this. I am happy to refer you to some that I have previous worked with, upon your requests. The lender will verify your financial situation and provide you with a pre-qualification amount or ways to increase your amount prior to us looking. This will help streamline the process.
If you are interested in me helping you purchase a property, you will not have to pay a commission to me. This fee is paid from the sellers side of their real estate fees.
